Symantec CBX Rocked RSAC 2026 Conference

CBX debuted to great acclaim at one of cybersecurity’s greatest conferences

  • RSAC 2026 Conference united cybersecurity’s best and brightest for four days of insight and innovation.
  • Broadcom seized the moment to announce Symantec CBX—a simplified approach to XDR from legendary pioneers in the field.
  • CBX unites Symantec and Carbon Black’s industry-leading innovations in one groundbreaking platform, ready to deliver enterprise-grade security for security teams that lack the budgets and resources of the big guys.

After cybersecurity conferences, we like to recap what the team and attendees took away from sessions, booths, and meaningful connections.

I’ll be straight with you. This year at RSAC™ Conference 2026, those insights were all about one thing:

Say hello to Symantec CBX

On March 23, Jason Rolleston, Vice President and General Manager of Broadcom’s Enterprise Security Group, dropped our new hit single: Symantec CBX—bringing together the R&D superpowers of industry pioneers Symantec and Carbon Black in their first collaborative product. The result is groundbreaking: a unified, cloud-based XDR platform offering native telemetry correlation and AI-driven insights for more complete, context-driven security. Perhaps most revolutionary of all, CBX is purpose-built to equip smaller teams at the frontlines of attacks from threats much bigger than them.

CBX responds to the current threat landscape where even the smallest enterprises face big threats, such as the onslaught of AI attackers advancing as you read this. Worse, smaller organizations are often viewed as a chink in the supply chain armor, opening the door to upstream attacks. CBX stands in the bulwark, meeting the unique needs of the underdogs: reducing cost, cutting alert fatigue, accelerating response time and leveraging AI insights for a much-needed advantage—enterprise-grade security minus the burden of enterprise-grade complexity.

As a result, we got a whole lotta love for CBX at the RSAC booth. Its live demo drew hundreds of viewers, and conversations centered around the unique capabilities of CBX for resource-constrained enterprises (which I could talk about all day).

The combined forces of these longstanding legends in the field equal a sum that’s greater than their parts. This RSAC 2026 season, we dropped a fire commercial that says it all:

Built for this moment

Matt Ashare from Channel Dive sat down with Jason Rolleston and Feris Rifai to share the big news for smaller teams often forgotten by big tech.

“Mid-market companies aren’t equipped with adequate cyber defenses, because it’s just too expensive to build your own security operations center, team and all these other things that enterprise-level organizations can afford,” Feris Rifai, president of TD Synnex’s data security subsidiary Leap Platform, told Channel Dive.

To stop today’s attackers—who don’t discriminate based on size—Jason says, “The platform extends enterprise-grade protection and real-time insights to organizations that have historically been under-resourced and can no longer rely on security through obscurity.”

All signals point to a single agent

Experts have been underscoring the need to unify signals for some time. Wednesday’s panel, Attack Surface Everywhere—All Defenders Need Multi-Layer Signals to Keep Up, forecast the need for a comprehensive XDR primed to deliver a simplified, easily managed, all-in solution to even the smallest organizations.

Featuring Jason Rolleston and Eric Chien from the Symantec Threat Hunter group, the panel delved into the David and Goliath struggle of smaller security teams facing big attacks. Without the correlation needed to surface actionable insights, no single security view of endpoint, network, data, or cloud can adequately capture the full picture of today’s multi-faceted threats. But too often these resource-strapped teams are ill-equipped with limited staff and disparate tool stacks that act like pebbles—when what’s needed is a boulder that’s both easy to lift and comprehensive enough to knock out a giant.

CBX is that boulder: a single agent solution bearing a full range of telemetry from network, cloud, and data security. With a unified, all-seeing viewpoint that won't leave anybody blind.

We came. We saw. We swaggered.

All defense and no play makes for a very dull conference. But never fear—amidst all the insights and learning opportunities, Broadcom made ample time for connection, fun, and RSAC-exclusive perks:

  • Leading industry analyst and former hacker Allie Mellen joined us to sign copies of her newly released bookCode War: How Nations Hack, Spy, and Shape the Digital Battlefield. It’s a page turner, and lucky attendees of RSAC 2026 were among the first to get their hands on it.
  • Sushi and light bites at Chotto Matte’s exclusive rooftop party gave rise to great conversation and lots of laughs over cocktails like “CBX Gon’ Give it to Ya” and “All the Single Agents.”
  • Folks stopped by the booth to demo CBX and pick up some epic swag. By the end of the conference, our new stickers, hats, and beanies were everywhere. We kept hearing how our branded tees looked more like coveted concert shirts than vendor merch (and I agree).
  • No surprise, our AI album cover photobooth was a record-breaking hit. This year’s favorites included an “All the Single Agents” cover, celebrating the advent of fierce single agent security.
