Welcome to the new SECURITY.COM. You’ve arrived at a site that’s been designed to serve as a destination for security professionals looking for expert guidance, timely threat intelligence, trusted analysis of industry trends and updates on the latest in cybersecurity technology. And a new design brings all that goodness efficiently and intuitively to mobile and desktop devices alike.

Today also marks the launch of another exciting new industry resource: SECURITY.COM The Podcast, which you’ll want to drop into your rotation (and share with your SOC buddies).

Allow me to give you a tour of all the goodness.

A go-to resource for security and IT pros

The editorial focus at SECURITY.COM has evolved, and will continue to do so. You’ll be seeing more posts, videos, webinar recaps and other content aimed at serving security and IT professionals interested in the latest cybersecurity technologies and best practices. This content will prove valuable to all regardless of the cybersecurity tools you use. Among our newest buffs:

  • Scannable summaries. Because you only have so much time in your day, we recently started including summary bullets at the top of each post.
  • Expanded how-to content. Look for more expert guidance, best practices and explorations of new uses for existing security tools.
  • More thoughtful analysis. We’re tapping an ever-expanding stable of industry experts to offer thoughts on recent developments and what they mean for security teams and the organizations they serve.
  • More insights from more voices. Expect observations and tips from Broadcom Knights (our community of Symantec and Carbon Black super users), perspectives from our Catalyst Partners around the world and insights from even more thought leaders at Symantec and Carbon Black.
  • Continued threat intel and trend analysis. Not to worry: We’re keeping all the best stuff. That includes our regular coverage and analysis of threat trends and developments brought to you by the legendary Symantec and Carbon Black Threat Hunters.
  • Content for Japanese security pros. As we’ve done for years, we’ll continue to provide key posts and updates for the critical Japanese market.

Good news for mobile users (and everyone else)

With this redesign, we’re ensuring that the updates and insights you seek are more accessible than ever. Gone are the large images that once ate your screen—and your time. Our new, mobile-friendly layout allows for easier navigation for mobile and desktop users alike. The new site always puts the latest posts front and center so you can stay informed of what’s happening—and what’s about to.

Even better, you now have single-click access to posts and updates on crucial threat intelligence, enlightening expert perspectives, fascinating tech insights and thoughtful feature stories. And our new and improved search function helps you find what you want, when you want it.

New podcast, who dis?

Today also marks the debut of SECURITY.COM The Podcast—a new hotspot for thoughts and opinions from technologists and cybersecurity thought leaders. The debut episode offers tips on how to survive Hacker Summer Camp, the (somewhat) affectionate term for the jacked-up week of conferences surrounding Black Hat, DEF CON and BSides. This year, Hacker Summer Camp takes over Las Vegas from Aug. 2–10.

In this episode, we’re chatting up none other than Broadcom Security Strategist, Black Hat OG and my co-host, Paul Miller. Paul not only was at the very first Black Hat, but he also attended the first DEF CON, Black Hat’s predecessor, way back when many of today’s attendees were begging their parents to let them stay up to watch Scully and Mulder. Paul’s also known for leading a threat hunter team that successfully detected and stopped an organized attack on nuclear infrastructure in Ukraine, effectively preventing a potential real-world nuclear disaster (don’t worry that episode will go live next week). The man’s got stories, so check it out.

It’s a new day, and with it comes a new look that spotlights what you actually want: frontline insights, expert technology advice and critical industry analyses that don’t waste your time. So subscribe follow the podcast to keep us in your ear and find out what other disasters Paul Miller is preventing. Catch us wherever you listen: YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and more.

Thanks for being here—we hope you like it.
